The famous Barker House that sits atop Sawnee Mountain in Cumming Georgia has been approved for demolition. According to the Forsyth County News, a company has been approved to carry out the demolition project. At this stage in the history of the unique structure, it would seem that it's fate has been sealed. Although an official date has not been set yet, we would encourage interested parties to document the home as well as they can before it is destroyed. We will be doing an aerial survey with thinnair to capture the uniqueness of the home.
Post Script update: The unique Organic architecture has been demolished.
With little public support and no funds preservation plans were abandoned by the city council.
